But this is only the tip of the iceberg for another reason for the delay of both Sony Ericsson Neo and Sony Ericsson Xperia Play was due to its decline in supply chain.

And another sad news is that Clove has announced and confirmed is that Sony Ericsson Neo will not be coming to the UK market until July. How to SSH into Your Jailbroken Apple TV2 to Install Apps!

f you have recently jailbroken your Apple TV2 for the first time, you might find yourself wondering what to do next. Sure the default NitoTV is cool, but there’s only so much you can do with it.

If you are seriously looking to venture into the world of Apple TV hacking, you might want to pay attention. One of the best ways to access your Apple TV and install files is through SSH. This is just basically a secure connection between 2 devices.

In this case it is between your computer and your Apple TV2. OpenSSH, written by Saurik is installed during the jailbreak process. This is what allows your Apple TV to make a connection with your computer.

I’m on a Mac but I assume it is basically the same process for Windows users with its command line prompt app. Mac users open spotlight and type in Terminal. Once open you want to enter the following:
ssh root@192.168.x.x
Obviously you want to fill in the x’s with your Apple TV2 IP address. To find it, just open the main Apple TV menu and go to Settings > General > Network > IP address.

Don’t get discouraged if you don’t get it right away, it took me a few minutes before I finally got prompted for a password. Also you must make sure you are on the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple TV.
The default Apple password is alpine, like on all of their other iOS devices.  Type it in and hit enter. You should now see Apple-TV:~root# which means you have write access to Apple TV’s hard disk.

For an example I will give you the commands to install XBMC on your AppleTV2 which is a popular home theatre PC software.
echo “deb http://mirrors.xbmc.org/apt/atv2 ./” > /etc/apt/sources.list.d/xbmc.list
apt-get update
apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2
After the last line is entered, you should see some code scrolling across your Apple TV2 and your machine will restart. After it reboots, you should see XBMC in your Apple TV Main Menu. You have successfully SSH’d into your Apple TV!

Top 10 best places to find great Android games!

The world of Android games can be a terrifying, intimidating place. Where do you start looking? How do you avoid downloading a wallpaper instead of a hot game?

Why are those birds so angry?

While we can't answer all of those questions, we can give you some tips and tricks on where to go to find the latest and greatest games available on the Android platform.

Android Market

This is probably the most obvious choice of all, but if you're looking for a new game for your Android phone, head into the Android Market and browse through the current gaming line-up.

The most popular and highly rated games will rise to the surface and you'll most likely be able to avoid the terrible pitfalls that surround the general App populace.

But be careful. Sometimes a game labelled as an iOS hit will turn out to be a broken link or worse when you download it.

Make sure you browse the reader reviews before downloading anything whatsoever and you won't suffer any disappointments.

Amazon Appstore

Amazon's recently launched Android Appstore already features some top games, such as an ad-free Angry Birds.

You can search through its database of games from the web or in the application itself, checking in on Amazon-style user reviews and using Amazon's secure payment system to buy what takes your fancy.

As in all Amazon pages, you'll find a handy top ten list that gives you the top free and top paid games available in the store.

The downside is that this App is only available in North America for now.

Chomp

android-Chomp-1

The nice thing about Chomp is its fail-safe and simple design. It's as though the plastic-geniuses from Fisher Price have designed a website with big appealing buttons and colorful backgrounds that can please everyone from toddlers to adults.

You can't miss the search box or the dropdown menus, which allow you to filter the results to Android only and get a leg-up on finding what you want.

The service doesn't just work for games - it also allows for discovery of apps of all flavours.

You can browse your way through all the searches via the web or download the App to your device.

GetJar

The plus side of GetJar is that it doesn't require you to download an app in order to download new games. Once you find something you like (and all the listed games are free), you simply tap the 'download' button and it will directly download an APK file to your phone.

Within seconds you'll be installing your new game without so much entering your email address.

Convenience is GetJar's biggest draw.

Tegra Zone

android-tegra-zone-1

If your Android device has an Nvidia Tegra 2 chip inside it then you're going to need a marketplace specific to your needs.

The Tegra Zone is a free app that suggests and recommends Tegra-optimised titles that you can instal directly to your tablet.

With HD capabilities beyond what most mobile devices can handle, this is the absolute best source for games if you really want your Tegra device to shine.

AppBrain

AppBrain does one key thing that other game-finding sources don't - it gives you a web-based App that allows for one-click downloading of new games and applications.

By installing the easy to use 'Fast Web Installer' you can simply click on anything you come across while browsing the web and later sync it up to your phone using your AppBrain account.

AppBrain's web layout features extremely easy to navigate top lists and recommendations. Particularly 'hot' apps will rise to the front page.

Arcade by Kongregate

The charm behind Kongregate's Arcade application is that you don't have to continually search for and download new games. Once you instal the arcade, you can filter through hundreds of games.

You get a bold announcement if a game has been newly added to the line-up, and you can even filter by staff favorites.

The Kongregate staff have sifted through tens of thousands of games to find the best ones to bring to mobile phones, so chances are you'll enjoy at least a handful of them.

Heck, Zilch on Kongregate gets more play time on my Droid X than any other game out there.

Pocket Gamer

Shameless promotion or reasonable description of what we do best? You decide.

Frankly, if you want to hear about all the latest and greatest new games coming down the pipeline for your Android phone, there's a good chance we've heard about it first.

From release info to reviews, you're going to hear about a lot of different games just by popping your head in and saying hi to the site.

And even better, we're not going to tell you to buy a game that's rubbish. To view our favourite Android games by score and genre, check out our Android game buyers' guide.

In the interests of fairness and full disclosure, there are other sites covering Android games. Editorial outlets generally are a good way to learn about new games and whether or not they're any good.

Consort with the Enemy (Apple users)

android-app-store-1

Taking this route won't always work, and in some ways it might just make you wish you had an iPhone.

But because so many people have Android phones sitting in their pockets, a lot of game developers are porting their products onto the Android platform so that more people can experience (or just buy) their games.

So if you're really interested in pulling together some new games for your Android, poke around on the iTunes App Store.

There's an increasingly large number of gamers rocking Android phones, so chances are that iPhone game you heard so much about is also an Android game.

Word of Mouth

There are millions of Android phones floating around. If you haven't already done so, try asking your friends and colleagues what their favorite Android games are, as well as visiting forums like NeoGAF and following Android enthusiasts on Twitter.

It was word of mouth that transformed Rovio's Angry Birds from a relatively popular casual game into an international hit, and there's no better way of finding the next big thing than by listening to the word on the street.

More 5th gen iPod touch shots, likely fake but still interesting

These are likely to be all over the Internet tomorrow but we’re posting them for discussion.  It seems that some believe the new iPod touch will have a capacitative home button. This shot looks pretty real when closely examined.

After looking at these, losing the button doesn’t seem like such a bad idea.  Still, fake. (click twice for full size).  More below:

This is kinda fun…continuing from earlier
And a closeup (also fake) below:

How To Unlock iPhone 4, 3GS on iOS 4.3.1 with Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 [Guide]

iPhone Dev-Team has released ultrasn0w 1.2.1 unlock to support iOS 4.3.1 unlock on old basebands and to fix signal issues which reported by some users after jailbreaking iPhone 4, 3GS on iOS 4.3.1

We’ve pushed out the 4.3.1 compatibility fix for ultrasn0w in Cydia — it’s now at version 1.2.1. If you’re not already at 4.3.1 and you need the unlock, please be sure you understand how to get to 4.3.1 using a custom IPSW that doesn’t update your baseband.

This isn’t a new unlock! It’s to allow those who are already unlocked to use FW 4.3.1. It also fixes the signal bar issue for those who aren’t using the unlock but retain an older baseband intentionally.

AFTER INSTALLING ULTRASN0W 1.2.1, PLEASE REBOOT YOUR iPHONE using the normal “slide to power off” swipe. T-Mobile users in the USA also should disable 3G mode in Settings->General->Network.
ONLY Supported basebands: (01.59.00 / 04.26.08 / 05.11.07 / 05.12.01 / 05.13.04 / 06.15.00)

Step 1: You have to jailbreak your iPhone 4 / 3GS on iOS 4.3.1 with preserving your old baseband, follow this guide (PwnageTool for Mac) of this guide (Sn0wbreeze Windows)

Step 2: Once you jailbreak yoour device, you can now unlock your iPhone 4 / 3GS with Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 from Cydia. To do so, follow the steps below:
  • Press to launch Cydia Installer from your SpringBoard.
  • Press to select the Manage tab at the bottom of the screen.
  • Press to select the Sources button.
  • Now touch on Edit and then on Add. You will be prompted to enter the URL of the source. Type http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com and touch on Add Source to add this repository.

Cydia will now automatically update your sources by following a series of automated steps.
  • After installation is completed. Search for “ultrasn0w 1.2.1” in Cydia and install this application. This app will automatically unlock your iPhone so that you can use it with any carrier.

Step 3: Almost done, now simply reboot your iPhone and you should have a fully unlocked iPhone 3GS / 4 on iOS 4.3.1.

iPad Baseband 6.15.00 Will be Downgraded to 5.13.02 to Fix GPS on iPhone 3G/ 3GS [Confirmed]

Some people are on iOS 4.3.1 on iPhone 3GS without the iPad baseband and waiting for the Unlock for the new baseband which is 5.16.02 should know that no Unlock will come for the new Baseband.
Similarly a person on Twitter having the same new baseband 5.1602 on iPone 3GS asked MuscleNerd about the Baseband Unlock.
@MuscleNerd what about people with 3GS firmware 4.3.1 and baseband 5.16.02? How long do we have to wait to unlock our devices :( i hope soon
@macOSxandiOS (because the downgrade from 06.15 goal is much higher priority than explicit 05.14,05.15, or 05.16 unlock. Achieves same.)
The Dev-Team doesn’t want to waste time on making the new Unlock for the basebands 5.14.02,5.15.02, and 5.16.02.
A fan who totally lost the hope for the baseband Downgrade of iPad baseband 6.15.00 asked MuscleNerd on Twitter:
@MuscleNerd it seems you guys have no interest in fixing gps issues with 6.15.00. Am I right??
@Kamiela2010 the downgrade potential from 06.15 remains (in my mind) 99% doable, but other things always seem to preempt working on it
If you ask us about the E.T.A for this thing, As we told before and we will say the same. It will come after iPhone 4 Unlock. So wait will be longer and those who didn’t updated to iPad baseband must not Update and they should wait for the further confirmation. They might be able to Downgrade from 5.16 and below.
