iOS 4.3.1 Makes iPhone Overheating, Here’s How to Fix it

According to Apple discussion that iOS 4.3.1 is causing some iPhones to overheat and short battery lifetime. Many users are saying that battery life on iPhone has decreased dramatically, and it will occasionally overheat while in use.

Here's what they said at Apple discussion:
My iPhone 4 for the last few days has started to get very hot in use and the battery is gone very bad. Leaving the phone on standby can see the battery drain nearly 20% in an hour. This is gone to the stage where I have to turn it off at times just to save battery during the day. It only began to happen when I updated to iOS 4.3. I updated to iOS 4.3.1 yesterday and it still has the same issues. Anyone else having the same problem?
Some users adviced to disable Exchange mail accounts to turn off notifications of apps and etc. Actually the solution is quite simple than all these advices.

There is a big chance that some corruption may be occurred while restoring your iPhone from a backup, which makes your iPhone consuming the battery and overheated. Simply you can fix this issue by restoring your iPhone as new instead of from backup. Sure this will be much longer to re-sync contacts, apps and etc, but it will fix your overheating and battery life issues.

Redsn0w 0.9.6rc12 iOS 4.3.1 Untethered Jailbreak Released , Boot Animation Issue Fixes

Few minutes ago the iPhone dev-team has just released Redsn0w 0.9.6rc12 to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 on all devices except iPad 2. But Redsn0w 0.9.6rc12 released to fix any lingering issues with the boot animation.

What's new in Redsn0w 0.9.6rc12:
Those running redsn0w may have noticed we enabled too many Settings options in some versions of the jailbreak (for instance, what you want your side switch to do, even if you have no side switch because you’re not using an iPad). Release rc10 rc12 of redsn0w corrects that (you can just run it over your existing jailbreak…be sure to de-select Cydia to avoid package conflicts).

Along the way, we’ve also added the option to enable boot animations…these animations can be installed via Cydia, but be sure to select which animation to use via the Settings->Bootlogo setting after you’ve downloaded an animation (and again, you can just run rc10 rc12 over your existing jailbreak…be sure to de-select Cydia to avoid package conflicts).

(The boot animation we tested against was “Android Boot Logo”. It correctly installs all the dependencies needed to run the animation at each boot).
Follow our previous guide posted here to use Redsn0w 0.9.6rc12 to jailbreak iOS 4.3.1 on your iPhone, iPod touch or iPad for Windows and Mac.

Note: for who rely on ultrasn0w unlock please stay away from Redsn0w and iOS 4.3.1 until the dev-team fix the ultrasn0w on iOS 4.3.1.

Chronic Dev Team Gives Final Touches to iPad 2 Jailbreak with GreenPois0n on iOS 4.3.1 /4.3.2!

Some great news for hose who are having an iPad 2 and were waiting t Jailbreak it. Many tools came out an none supported iPad 2. iPad 2 was missed by every tool because Comex Exploit was patched in iOS 4.3.1 by Apple. but one tool wasn’t updated till now and never came out with the Untethered Jailbreak.
The well known member of Chronic Dev team, Joshua Hill aka p0sixninja confirmed via twitter, since the release of iOS 4.3.1 untethered jailbreak. They start focusing on finishing the iPad 2 jailbreak exploit and iPad 2 jailbreak will come in the new version of GreenPois0n.
Since 4.3.1 is already exploited by the legendary@ i0n1c, we’re working on finishing iPad2 jailbreak now.
This time they didn’t say anything about the release of the iPad 2 Jailbreak. This is also not confirmed that whether the Jailbreak will be Tethered or Untethered. They might have fixed the SHAtter Exploit because they had to announce some huge changes for the chronic Dev Team. They might held the SHAtter Exploit back and release it after iOS 5 is out.
The expectations are that they will be using i0nic’s Untethered Exploit to make them work on iPad 2.  i0nic’s Untethered Exploit will be patched in upcoming iOS 4.3.2.
Apple is still onto the cat and mouse game.

Bored in Parliament? iPad to the Rescue

Bored in the meeting? iPad can help you By IMeNu

Italians use the same word – filibustiere – for long-winded attempts to slow down legislative sessions, now they are using the iPad to combat boredom at work.
These pics were snapped during what was apparently an endless session about shortening trials.

Politicos around the globe have admitted to using Apple’s “magic device” as a plaything to combat boredom, but while the Americans say it’s “wonderful” during congressional hearings, Brits experiment and most of the German legislators look like they are at least answering emails, the Italians appear hard at play with iDevices. (Nice job trying to cover that screen, Roberto Menia.)
Still, at least this time no one was caught browsing for escorts, which happened a few months ago to Italian parliament member Simeone Di Cagno Abbrescia, 67.

Chinese Families Burn Paper iDevices to Honor The Dead (Video)

Qingming Festival(also called Tomb-Sweeping Day) is a very important traditional festival in China, and this is the most important day for people to offer sacrifice to ancestors. Following the tradition, paper versions of money, fake luxury items, and, yes, consumer electronics are burned as offerings to the dead. Since the most popular gadget so far is Apple’s iPad 2, iPhone 4, so people are spending 10 yuan (about $2) to buy it, and burn it. Amazingly, one shopkeeper in Malaysia said his stock of 300 paper iPad 2s sold out quickly, leaving him unable to meet demand.
Interesting huh? According to Reuters, prayer item shopkeeper Jeffrey Te is selling the paper versions of iPad and iPad 2 at a dollar for 888GB capacity(My gosh, that's huge), an auspicious number in Chinese culture.

So, with iPad 2 (888gb), and iPhone4, the ancestors could have a very comfortable afterlife in another world, OK,let's have a good look these unbelievable beatiful idevices made of Paper:

HTC HD7 – Windows Phone 7 + Android = Video Awesomeness!

Ah, Android hackers. Aren’t they the best? They take our beloved operating system and install it on everything possible! Most recently, they have managed to evict Windows Phone 7 from the HD7 and replace it with the little green robot. Have a look at this hot video action:

Pretty slick, right? While I’m not sure that there is any practical reason behind doing this, it’s always cool to see Andy kicking ass where he wasn’t meant to be.

Google Makes Android More Attractive For Google Apps Users With New Remote Capabilities

Just another step in Google’s efforts to make Android more appealing to businesses – an update to the Google Apps Device Policy application has added three new features to make your Android device more secure:
  • Remote Location: Any Android 2.2+ device can be located remotely via GPS or by making it ring. The PIN or password can also be remotely reset.
  • Data Encryption: Android 3.0 introduced data encryption, and now Google Apps users have the ability to encrypt this data remotely as long as the App Device Policy is already installed on the device.
  • Google Apps Lookup: An entirely new app, Google Apps Lookup allows Apps users to find contact info for anybody in the Google Apps Global Address List.
These features will all be very helpful for business users, but hopefully we’ll also see them make their way to non-Google Apps users some time in the future.
