Man Arrested After Forcing his Girlfriend to Eat an iPhone

We’ve seen some pretty crazy stories involving the iPhone over the last few months. Just recently, a man was apprehended and charged for a home invasion after police found his iPhone at the scene of the crime.
The latest story to surface comes from The New York Post. The news outlet has gotten its paws on court documents that detail a domestic dispute involving a prolific patent attorney who allegedly forced an iPhone down his girlfriend’s throat
Brian Anscomb, a 37 year old IP lawyer from Upper East Side Manhattan, was arrested Sunday after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend. The attack took place in the couple’s posh Manhattan home the day before Anscomb was apprehended.
According to the court papers, Anscomb stuffed an iPhone in his girlfriend’s mouth and down her throat during a heated argument. (Yes, we’re not kidding.) The assault reportedly left the woman with cuts and bruises around her mouth.
Even though this isn’t the first time he’s been accused of physical abuse, Anscomb’s attorney tells The Post that his client denies all allegations. Here’s hoping that this prick doesn’t get off so easily this time around.

JailbreakMe 3.0: Notes, Problems, Solutions – Everything You Need To Know

After weeks of waiting and talking wrong ETAs, Comex has finally released JailbreakMe 3.0 to give your iPad 2 a simple and easy jailbreak. JailbreakMe 3.0 is the first untethered jailbreak for iPad 2 since it was released. Some users are experiencing some problems, issues, bugs with JailbreakMe 3.0 so we’ve made this post to cover everything related to JailbreakMe 3.0.

What’s JailbreakMe & How Does It Work?

In case you’re new to the jailbreak world, you must know these things. JailbreakMe 3.0 is a PDF exploit just like its previous version Jailbreak Me 2.0. It decreases the time you need to jailbreak your device. Unlike Redsn0w, Greenpois0n, Sn0wbreeze and PwnageToool, JailbreakMe is a userland jailbreak tool (which means that you don’t need to connect your iOS device to your computer to use it, just from Safari browser). By taking advantage of a PDF exploit in Mobile Safari, it can execute code straight from your phone, jailbreak it and install Cydia.

Supported Devices:

JailbreakMe 3.0 will only work on this devices:
  • iPad 1: 4.3 to 4.3.3
  • iPad 2: 4.3.3
  • iPhone 3GS: 4.3 to 4.3.3
  • iPhone 4: 4.3 to 4.3.3
  • iPhone 4 CDMA: 4.2.6 to 4.2.8
  • iPod touch 3g: 4.3, 4.3.2, 4.3.3
  • iPod touch 4g: 4.3 to 4.3.3

Why Should I Save SHSH Blobs of iOS 4.3.3?

That’s a good question. You’ve to save SHSH blobs of iOS 4.3.3 right now because Apple is about to release iOS 4.3.4 to fix JailbreakMe 3.0 exploit and you may update to it by mistake. In case that happens, you’ll be in a safe area since you have your SHSH blobs saved. You can always restore to a specific iOS using SHSH blobs of it which Apple prevents. So go use TinyUmbrella (from here) to save iOS 4.3.3 SHSH blobs now.

iPad 2G problems:

Yes, there’s of course some problems with the iPad 2. Every positive must have a minus. You can’t save SHSH blobs for iPad 2G since since it has a baseband that runs a different firmware from iOS. iTunes will not be able to sign your baseband and it’ll refuse to boot and give you a 1004 error. The sad thing about JailbreakMe is it’s not a bootrom exploit on the A5 bootrom. To sum it up, SHSH blobs for iPad 2G will be useless as you’ll not be able to restore back to iOS 4.3.3. JUST STAY AWAY FROM iOS 4.3.4.

Notes:

  1. Your Device is connected to Wi-Fi connection or 3G. But it’s recommended to be connected via Wi-Fi as it still have some problems with 3G connection.
  2. It’s recommended you restore your iOS device to iOS 4.3.3 (links here) especially for iPad 2 which will not work except it’s on iOS 4.3.3.
  3. It’s strongly recommended that you restore your iOS device as a new device. Just sync your new applications, music, videos, images, notes and contacts (on Windows, make sure you have Outlook installed) via the iTunes software following the restoration.
  4. For iPhone users, make sure you have your original SIM card before restoring since you have to activate your iPhone via iTunes.
  5. To avoid problems, before you jailbreak your iOS device, go to Settings then Safari and Disable “Block pop-up” then empty your cache, history and etc.
  6. Also make sure that you disable Auto Lock function from Settings then General.
  7. It’s possible that you can’t access JailbreakMe.com since the DNS server is overloaded. Just hold on, wait then try again after few minutes.
  8. PLEASE don’t update to iOS 4.3.4 when it’s released. It will kill your jailbreak.
  9. JailbreakMe 2.0 is still here. It’s compatible with all iOS devices iPad 3.2.1 and iPhone 4.0. You can access it by navigating your browser to www.jailbreakme.com/star
  10. It’s recommended to install “PDF Patcher 2″ from Cydia as shown below:
Take in consider that Comex will update JailbreakMe 3.0 to fix more bugs and add support for older devices. He was in hurry to release JailbreakMe 3.0 before Apple release iOS 4.3.4 so he released it with iOS 4.3.3 only support.
Please let us know in the comments section below in case you faced any problems.

iPhone 4 Prototype Hits eBay with 26000$

That looks crazy but it’s real. An iPhone 4 prototype is now available on eBay and it’s the same as Gizmodo’s prototype last year. In case you are really in love with Apple products, you might want to know how was its prototype.

The news comes from ThisIsMyNext where they found this iPhone 4 prototype without any warranty, can’t be activated via iTuens and even without “+” and “-” markers on the volume buttons. It’s just a black iPhone 4 with “DF1692″ mark in the lower right corner and (XXGB) on the back.
You can’t make use of this prototype but it’s very interesting for some people. The seller puts it for $26,000 but the last bid now is $3,550. Any one interested?

iPad 3 and iPhone 5?

According to many sites, rumors about the next generation from Apple; iPhone 5 and iPad 3 reappeared again. The new rumors talk about 2 [confirmed !] dates; September and October: the first is the date of preparing materials for the production of the two devices, and the second one is about they will hit the market in October.

I can fill my small post with rumors but you will get nothing at end, the important I think are features that were expected in the iPad 2 and iPhone 4 previously, but are rumored for iPhone 5 and iPad 3 again:

iPad 2 and iPad 3:
Camera: All of us expected a camera with a flash for iPad 2, but that never came. iPad 3 is on its way and is rumored to be equipped with one.

Processor: The iPad 2 flashed a 900MHz dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 processor, Apple A5 chipset and PowerVr SGX543MP2 GPU. That made the tablet one of the main contenders in the tablet market war. Now the iPad 3 is about to be introduced to millions of customers and is rumored to sport a Quad-Core Processor, most probably the A6. That will make the tablet as powerful as any high-end desktop computer.

Operating System: iPad 3 may see a major change when the OS of the most awaited tablet is discussed. The iPad 2 was powered by iOS 4, and now, as rumored, will the new iPad 3 see the next-generation iOS 5? Rumors regarding the OS go even deeper as the tablet is also expected to run OS X. If a quad-core processor, as mentioned earlier, is really coming then there are high chances that Apple may also introduce OS X Lion for the tablet.

HDMI: Previously, Apple introduced the HDMI playback in iPad 2. This, however, had problems of its own. The user needed an additional digital AV adapter which is available for $39. The upcoming iPad 3 is expected to end the problems regarding the additional HDMI cable with an evolved HDMI port.

New Retina display: The retina display was expected in iPad 2 but Apple decided to carry on with the display of the first iPad. Now the iPad 3 is being heavily rumored to arrive with the retina display. An improvised resolution of 2058X1536 pixels is also expected.

Note: The rumors also claims that the third-generation iPad will be “even thinner and lighter”, with high-resolution increasing to 250dpi.

iPhone 4 and iPhone 5:
It is the hard part, talking about iPhone {4 or 5], features that were expected in the iPhone 4 but are rumored for iPhone 5. Honestly it make me angry man because I can’t afford another failed version from Apple, I wonder why Apple doesn't read and work to make the perfect one we expect.

For example Designer Michal Bonikowski feels that the new version will be safe and predictable. In his conceptual version he converts glass enclosure into proven aluminum; steel frame remains as a reference to the previous version and directly to the iPad 2. Also, the key functions is converted from mechanical to sensory.

Another example from Antoine Brieux, who designed what you can called a natural evolution, apart from making the next generation iPhone a piece of pure glass.

At last we have wait and post, you have to wait and read, but you can leave your comment, may be Apple read ... Who knows !!!!!!!

How JailbreakMe 3.0 iPad 2 Jailbreak Got Leaked [The Full Story]

Yesterday’s hottest news was the leaking of a beta version of JailbreakMe that set the jailbreaking community on fire. Goncalo wrote a step-by-step guide for interested iPad 2 owners on how to go about jailbreaking the iPad 2 with it and, today, we’ve learned about how the leaking took place.

The story comes from Ryan Lobbins who states that, after Comex tweeted about a site called qoid.us, he stumbled upon the JailbreakMe files in a directory on the site’s servers. This was on 27th June, 2011.
This all started late one night on the 27th of June. I was playing Star Craft with some friends reading Comex’s twitter updates like every other person waiting for the jailbreak. That is when I had a crazy idea just to search a site he posted in a previous tweet. That site was www.qoid.us , during my initial search, the main thing that came up was comex’s bannerbomb exploit for the wii. This lead me to believe even more that the site was his. The next thing I did was just do a search for directories on his site and that is when I stumbled upon it. I saw a folder called saffron that grabbed my attention, mainly because jbme 2.0 was star.
Lobbins categorically states on his blog that he never intended for the files to leak out because he felt that, being a developer himself, he’d hate for his project to leak out before he himself thought it to be ready for primetime. And Comex has been working on JBme for a long, long time…
So what would you do if you stumbled on a website that had all the data for the jailbreak people have been waiting months for? At first I wasn’t sure what to do, let alone believe I found the files. The only true indication that I found them was all the pdf files, deb files named after different iOS devices, and a php file. The last thing I wanted was to just send out all the files saying here they are. As someone who has worked on a project for years in the past I would hate for my work to leak out before my self or the team was ready. Comex had been working on this for almost a year.
On 28th June, Lobbins first tested the files. His next move was to talk about the files he had received on a forum. People, of course, started calling him a “troll” because, well, he was claiming some big claims.
The first thing I did was the obvious, test the files. From comex’s tweets at the time I figured they were close to completion and wouldn’t completely brick my iPad. The next was I made a copy of the files for my own purpose of trying on other devices, not to leak them. I didn’t know if comex would have the files moved before I woke up the next day. Then as proof to my friends who had no reason to even want the jailbreak, but wanted to see it I uploaded them to this site. Worst mistake ever.
So, in order to prove them wrong, Lobbins sent a private message to a couple of other forum members with a picture of the new JBme site (with the site’s URL removed so it wouldn’t leak).
Now comes the next day, what would you do with the information you gained from decompiling and decompressing the files. You don’t want to leak them, but there has been no information on any updates. People are starting to doubt the jailbreak is even real. What I did was just spread information about the jailbreak, no pictures, no files, just me posting on forums what I know. Of course there were people calling me names saying I am a troll and other names. Next I sent off private messages to two people on the forums I was posting on. At that point after a few messages the only thing I sent was a picture. That was the first and only thing I sent. The picture was of the new jailbreakme website, with the url removed so the site didn’t get out. That was the end of it on June 28th.
Nothing happened for the next two days…
Until on 1st July, when Lobbins states that his curiosity piqued and he sent the files to fellow forum user Will Sayer aka “MultiMediaWill” and the rest, as they say, is history.
I went on vacation on the 30th and won’t be home until July 15th, but my curiosity started to get the better of me last night. I have these files that didn’t work on my iPad, but I wondered if they would work at all. I contacted another person on the forums who was multimediawill aka appreviewer will aka Will Sayer. He tried one of the pdf files and it jailbroke his iPad. I was surprised, he was surprised. He swore up and down he wouldn’t leak it, and I went to bed. That is when I woke up and saw my list of emails streaming in. Immediately the files were deleted, I felt stupid and horrible that my curiosity got the best of me and caused this. I never intended for it to get leaked out this big. In all I apologize to comex for my actions. I don’t want attention, and never wanted to spread his work like Will did. I was just curious, and this curiosity caused this.
MultiMediaWill tested the files. Jailbroke his iPad 2. Shot a video. And leaked the beta version of Comex’s highly-anticipated iPad 2 jailbreak. According to his Twitter account (now deleted), he “leaked it with hope that Comex will release the official jailbreak even faster.”
Late last night, MultiMediaWill, before deleting his Twitter account, publicly apologized to Comex for his actions, took down all the PDF files and the YouTube video of iPad 2 Jailbreak. But it was probably too late as the damage has already been done.

China: the iPhone helps mother and daughter to find after five long years!

The Loop contains a very touching story that has had as one of its protagonists the iPhone. Thanks to the iPhone by, in fact, it was possible for a mother and her daughter meet again after five long years.

The story of The Loop, and reported by various international magazines, takes place in China and starring an elderly lady who for the past five years has not heard from her daughter.
She sees and stops at first a passerby who used an iPad asking him to take a picture and post it online so that his daughter can recognize and understand in what place it is. Unfortunately, this turns out to be an iPad WiFi-only model and is therefore unable to connect to the Internet without the presence of a wireless network.
And here comes the iPhone. Realizing he can not satisfy the request of the woman pulls through his iPhone from his pocket 4, in this case with 3G connectivity, and shall take a picture and post it on the lady Weibo (Chinese alternative to Twitter).
After 5 years, retweets 100.00 (shares) and three days of intense searching, mother and daughter were reunited at last been able to act, even (perhaps especially) with iPhone!

Facebook Launching Skype Powered Video Chat On Wednesday

Just yesterday, We had reported that Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg had revealed that the company was planning to launch something awesome next week. Well, according to sources, it turns out that Facebook is all set to launch its new in-browser Skype powered video chat facility next week.
This partnership with Facebook might be beneficial for Skype as well, which is now a Microsoft owned property. Since we know that Microsoft isn't in the online social networking game, they won't really have any objections with Skype forming a partnership with Facebook and one shouldn't forget the fact that Microsoft is a shareholder in Facebook.

Many analysts believe that Facebook's "something awesome" would be related to the mobile or tablet arena including the release of a long-awaited Facebook app for iPad and a dedicated app for photo-sharing on the iPhone. However, it turns out that its going to be completely different. Partnering with Skype, Facebook will now bring in-brower video chat for its over 750 million users.

Facebook has also posted a job opening requiring the services of a software developer to make desktop applications for Windows and Mac. Does this mean that Facebook wants to make a debut in desktop based video chatting solution as well? With Skype already dominating that, how does Facebook plan to do that whilst being in partnership with Skype itself?

All of these questions will be answered, come Wednesday. We'll be sure to update you with all the details regarding Facebook's new service, right here.
