iOS 5.1 has a little gem for wallpaper fanatics like me: Apple will include four new wallpapers in the iPad version of iOS 5.1 (likely the release launching alongside the iPad 3 next year). The new wallpapers are water crashing onto a sand beach, grass blades, and two ocean wallpapers. These are reminiscent of some of the OS X Lion wallpapers, but of course scaled to the iPad’s screen size.
Apple is yet to include these new wallpapers for the iPhone, but we shrunk them down to iPhone and iPod touch Retina size. They look pretty nice. Something interesting to note: Apple shipped an all-new wallpaper set with the iPhone 4. The iPhone 4 was the first iPhone to include a new screen resolution, so Apple needed to make new wallpapers of the Retina size. Apple could be doing the very same thing here with the iPad, but we’ll have to see. To clarify, these downloads aren’t for a Retina iPad.
Downloads: iPad (1, 2, 3, 4), iPhone (1, 2, 3, 4)

FACEBOOK WILL BE SHUT DOWN IN 2012

Mark Zuckerberg announced that Facebook will be shut down in March of 2012. Managing the site has become too stressful.
“Facebook has gotten out of control,” said Zuckerberg in a press conference outside his Palo Alto office, “and the stress of managing this company has ruined my life. I need to put an end to all the madness.”
Zuckerberg went on to explain that starting March 15th of next year, users will no longer be able to access their Facebook accounts. That gives users (and Facebook addicts) a year to adjust to life without Facebook.
“After March 15th, 2012 the whole website shuts down,” said Avrat Humarthi, Vice President of Technical Affairs at Facebook. “So if you ever want to see your pictures again, I recommend you take them off the internet. You won’t be able to get them back after Facebook goes out of business.”
Zuckerberg said the decision to shut down Facebook was difficult, but that he does not think people will be upset.
“I personally don’t think it’s a big deal,” he said in a private phone interview. “And to be honest, I think it’s for the better. Without Facebook, people will have to go outside and make real friends. That’s always a good thing.”
Some Facebook users were furious upon hearing the shocking news.
“What am I going to do without Facebook?” said Denise Bradshaw, a high school student from Indiana. “My life revolves around it. I’m on Facebook at least 10 hours a day. Now what am I going to do with all that free time?”
However, parents across the country have been experiencing a long anticipated sense of relief.
“I’m glad the Facebook nightmare is over,” said Jon Guttari, a single parent from Detroit. “Now my teenager’s face won’t be glued to a computer screen all day. Maybe I can even have a conversation with her.”
Those in the financial industry are criticizing Zuckerberg for walking away from a multibillion dollar franchise. Facebook is currently ranked as one of the wealthiest businesses in the world, with economists estimating its value at around 7.9 billion.
But Zuckerberg remains unruffled by these accusations. He said he will stand by his decision to give Facebook the axe.
“I don’t care about the money,” said Zuckerberg. “I just want my old life back.”
The Facebook Corporation suggests that users remove all of their personal information from the website before March 15th, 2012. After that date, all photos, notes, links, and videos will be permanently erased.

Who Is The Winner? REDSN0W 1.0 OR GREENPOIS0N RC 7?
Untethered jailbreak 5.x coming soon. Who is the winner? RedSn0w from iPhone Dev Team or GreenPois0n RC7 from Chronic Dev Team.
MuscleNerd (RedSn0w)
Only a 2-3 day ago , popular hacker and iPhone Dev Team brain member MuscleNerd tweeted that a new upcoming update to the Redsn0w 1.0 will make both TinyUmbrella blob and Cydia blobs saves useful for iOS 5.0+ . This is a great news for the downgraders.
But…
Pod2G (GreenPois0n):
Today I succeed in jailbreaking my iPod 3G. The exploit is user-land, rely on a user ROP payload and a kernel write anywhere exploit.
I can’t give much details right now, but here are the next steps :
- upgrade the iPod 3G to iOS 5.0.1
- do the same on iPhone 4 / iOS 5.0.1
- then iPad 1 & iPod 4G
At every step, the exploit code needs certainly to be reworked, but I really don’t know right now. Next, I’ll return to the research for iPad 2 and iPhone 4S. I don’t know if I gonna release first for other devices or not. I’ve to think about it. Feel free to give your opinion.
We’ll keep you up to date with news on pod2g’s progress.
WHO IS THE WINNER?

How to install Siri on iDevice!
The day has come for which all iPhone 4 users were waiting! CD Team has released Siri porting software h1siri. As the process is relatively simple, and the test server Siri provided by the CD team.
Here is a complete step-by-step instruction on how to install it on your iPhone 4.
Disclaimer: The file provided in this article is not our property. We are not responsible for any damage caused by this process.
STEP 1: Firstly you need to upgrade your iPhone 4 to iOS 5 or iOS 5.0.1 firmware and jailbreak it.(Can be found in IMeNu)
NOTE: Due to tremendous load on CD Team’s servers, the app may not work sometimes. So don’t loose hope. Try again! I have tried this app myself and confirm that its working very well. It’s only due to overloaded servers that it is having trouble connecting to the servers. You can fix this error by restarting your device couple of times.
To fix your camera-recording issues after installing H1Siri, please download this file and save it on your Desktop. Next step is to SSH your device, if you are using Windows you can use WinSCP and if you’re using Mac OS X you can use Cyberduck, however, we have used iPhone Explorer for the demonstration.
Once you’re logged in navigate to Root/System/Library/Caches/com.apple.dyld, you should now see a file named “dyld_shared_cache_armv7“. Either remove it or replace it with the file you have just downloaded and saved on your Desktop. Now do a reboot and try shooting HD video recording.

Please let's up know that it is working or not!
